The private Oxford Polyclinic in Cannes is a multidisciplinary healthcare facility and a key player in the regional healthcare system. Faced with a recurring problem of overcrowding, the management team launched a project to modernise access control for its 90-space parking lot.
Originally free and open to the public, this parking lot was regularly overcrowded, causing traffic congestion in a confined space as well as safety concerns for users: short-term visitors, on-site employees, and doctors.
The main challenges for the Polyclinic’s technical manager were therefore to secure and regulate access to the parking lot -preventing entry when it was full - and to implement a solution for monetising the space. Given the site’s sensitive circumstances and the priorities of its users, it was also critical to provide a simple, fast, and accessible user experience for everyone, while optimising traffic flow within the limited space available.
HUB Parking France, in partnership with the FAAC-certified Azur Domotic Center, designed and implemented a seamless and intelligent ticketless solution.
The project was carried out by HUB Parking France, in partnership with Azur Domotic, a FAAC-certified center, to deploy a comprehensive and modern access management solution.
The Jupiter system, combined with JMS software, operates in a fully ticketless configuration with license plate recognition (LPR), which enables automatic vehicle identification upon entry and exit.
The 90 parking spaces are accessible from the street via a ramp leading to the three levels (R0, R-1, and R+1), and the parking facility also includes compact payment terminals at the entrance and exit, with credit card payment available at the exit terminal. To ensure accessibility for all types of users, a manual payment terminal with a touchscreen has been installed at the reception area, allowing for cash payments if needed.
The HUB solution is complemented by two dynamic “AVAILABLE / FULL / CLOSED” signs, which provide real-time information to users, thereby reducing search time and traffic - essential for stressed patients or those with urgent appointments.
Intelligent occupancy management is provided by the JMS software, which offers a centralised, web-based management environment. This allows Polyclinique staff to monitor, control, and optimize all parking operations from a single interface. Thanks to its cloud-based architecture, JMS provides real-time visibility into transactions, occupancy rates, and system status, as well as advanced accounting reporting and data analysis features - everything needed to accelerate decision-making and improve the efficiency of daily operations.
Azur Domotic completed the solution’s installation in just two days, including commissioning and training for local staff. Next up is on-site maintenance - ensuring operational continuity with rapid response times - and hands-on support for site operations.
The project’s next phase involves creating interior parking zones by reserving the R-1 level for doctors using the Jupiter Lane Controller in combination with ANPR vision technology, followed by the installation of VMS panels inside the facility to better guide drivers by displaying the number of available spaces on the R+1 level. This requires a single Jupiter Counting Station adjacent to the access lane.
The new system now enables efficient access control and a significant reduction in congestion, resulting in a marked improvement in safety and the user experience. All for the benefit of the local community!
